Her Team

Kim's love for real estate began in 2001 when she started working for a local contractor and developer.  In 2003 she teamed up with DJM Development Partners in Santa Barbara, as the first project manager for various commercial real estate acquisitions throughout the Southern California region.  Her biggest challenge came in 2007 when she was asked to partner with the "in-house broker" to market and act as the sales lead for 37 townhomes in Goleta, Willow Creek Townhomes.  Kim had to learn quickly how to adapt to one of the toughest real estate markets the real estate industry has seen in over 30 years.  Dedication, hard work, innovative thinking and a well planned, aggressive marketing strategy all play a part in Kim's business plan.   

Kim understands the countless hours it takes to find the right home as she and her family experienced this when they purchased their first home in 2005.  It takes a lot of hard work and persistence to find a home that is a good fit and that is what she is dedicated to doing for every buyer she works with.  Kim, with her boundless energy and enthusiasm, prides herself in listening to her buyer's needs and wants so they can achieve their dream of owning a "home." 

Originally from Seattle, Kim moved to Santa Barbara in 1996 to attend Westmont College.  After graduating Kim decided to make Santa Barbara her home.  She and her husband Rob Crawford have three children.  They are very involved with Young Life, a non-profit organization for junior high and high school kids.  Kim also loves to travel, read and run.

Growing up in Newport Beach CA, Angel worked for her father from a young age learning the real estate market, commercial investments, and the community.   She would regularly go on listing presentations, site tours, business meetings, and city planning meetings.   The eight years of experience working with her father allotted her skills in negotiation, communication, knowledge of the purchasing and selling process, and awareness of real estate trends to best serve her clients.

Angel attended FIDM in Los Angeles to major in Product Development.  After graduating, she moved to Hawaii and attended the University of Hawaii Business and Communications school where she started to invest in real estate on the islands.

After meeting her husband, she moved back to the mainland and continued her education in Product Development and International Manufacturing in Los Angeles where she became a consultant in the fashion industry for large corporate brands. 

Angel eventually made her way to her husband's hometown of Santa Barbara where she instantly fell in love with the culture, environment, and community.  She was able to seamlessly integrate into the lifestyle and quickly became connected throughout the county.  Her networking and communication skills learned in the past were significant tools to launch a successful event coordinating company that she has owned for 8 years.  

After owning and operating five companies and ventures over the last 15 years, Angel's entrepreneurial spirit couldn't pass up an opportunity to join the Shannon Real Estate Group with Village Properties and get back to her roots in real estate.   Her hard work, dedication, dynamic marketing skills, and organization is something she prides herself on.

Katie Mohun is a licensed Real Estate Agent and assistant to Gail Shannon. She is a proud alumnus of the University of Oregon where she graduated with a double major in Journalism and Spanish. Her passion for travel led her to spend a semester abroad in the vibrant city of Seville where she immersed herself in the Spanish culture and spent her weekends traveling throughout Europe. 

Upon graduating from college, she moved back to her beautiful hometown of Truckee, California where she began working at a local Mortgage Company as a Marketing and Loan Officer Assistant. During her time with the company, she learned a wealth of information about residential financing and the mortgage industry as a whole while working on the front end of transactions to get clients Pre-Qualified and Pre-Approved for loans. 

Having grown up in the mountains, she loves to spend time outdoors immersing herself in the elements, skiing in the Winters and spending her summers in and around the beautiful lakes in the Tahoe area. After years of living in the snow, she decided to move to Santa Barbara to enjoy the sunshine, beaches and all that the wonderful community has to offer.

She is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor degree at the Santa Barbara College of Law and plans to use her legal education to become more well-versed in the realm of Real Estate.

Full In-House Advertising Department

Village Properties offers a full in-house Advertising Department to support their Agents with all of their marketing needs. With access to 5 full time designers, I am able to order postcards, brochures, digital flyers, newspaper & magazine ads, and Village Showcase TV advertising for my clients and have them quickly produced. In addition, by having our own Advertising Department, I can consistently provide the very highest quality of marketing materials with an array of sophisticated styles and designs.

Technological Support Team

Village Properties has the latest advanced technology and communications equipment along with a progressive technological in-house support team of three. I have full access and assistance with training and help with the most recent technological devices and any technological problems.
